Here is our study group. The members include me, Dan, Jody and Tiffany. We are going to be creating websites for instruction and integration.

I was preparing the binders for the CFE Study Group dinner tomorrow night.

May 28th--Memorial Day BBQ

Jody invited me over for a Memorial Day BBQ Luncheon. We had burgers and corn on the cob. Yum!

Jyoti and I hung out on a beautiful Sunday in Bucktown.

I think I let some bugs in the other night when I left my window open! Here is the bomb I used to get rid of them! It seems to have worked.

May 25th--Body Biography

Here is the finished Body Biography of Grandma from A Long Way from Chicago. This group got an A+!

May 24th--Finished Deck!

There it is! My completed deck! All I need now is someplace to sit!

May 23rd--Deck Construction

Deck construction continues! I am not building the frame to go under the decking material. I used my new compound mitre saw and it works great. Much faster than sawing by hand in the Home Depot parking lot!

Nora, Carol and I were out at Emilio's celebrating Nora's birthday.

May 21st--Laundry Night

It always feels good to finish a load of laundry!

May 20th--The Union in Madison

Here is a picture of the Union from the bus. I meant to take a picture of my new BFF, Amy Quark, but I forgot since I had to leave before the crack of dawn. (Okay, it was really 8:30, but it felt very early!)

May 19th--A Live Cow for Gary

Gary just completed his Ph.D. in African History. His disseration was on the dreaded rinderpest epidemic of the 1800s in South Africa. Since Gary has been studying dead cows for the past 8 years, Amy organized a gift of a life cow for him. Heifer International is an organization that provides livestock for communities so that they can be self-sustaining. Gary's cow will be giving milk to people somewhere in the world!

May 18th--Sawing My Deck

I bought some decking for my balcony but they wouldn't let me cut it inside of Home Depot, so I had to cut it outside in the parking lot. It took an hour, but in the end it all worked out. Now that it is on the balcony it is looking great!

Suzanne, Brooke and Sandra are all decked. They had just attended the service for Rich Handschuh. It was a beautiful ceremony.

Ms. Lu, Mr. Strening and I attended a meeting for the ISAT Writing Test which the sixth grades will take next fall.

Students are creating Body Biographies for Grandma from A Long Way from Chicago. They are turning out great!

May 8th--The Teaser

Isn't Carol a tease? Here she is doing "the teaser" in our Pilates class. Okay, I took the picture before class started because there is no way the instructor would let me take a picture during class. He is very strict!

May 7th--Fun for Teachers

Jody, Tiffany and I attended the Fund for Teachers meeting to learn about what we need to do on our summer trips. This is a picture of the teachers traveling to Mexico.

We celebrated Jyoti's birthday at Alhambra Palace. Here are Judy, Jyoti and Venu. All of the decorations were imported from Morocco. It was over the top!

Thursday nights I watch "Ugly Betty" and "Grey's Anatomy."

May 2nd--Skype with Ashley

Ashley and I were on Skype discussing our board game. We are just about to send an e-mail off to a publisher.

May 1st--Headstand

I finally was able to do a headstand in yoga! It was a complete surprise so I did it again so you can see it here.

April 30th--Advice from Nora

Nora was giving me some advice on how to pick up the bike guy. Nora became friends with everyone in the shop, but I had no progress.
